100 Days, 100 Miles

As part of my training for the Woodrow Wilson Half Marathon in October I've decided to give myself a goal of 
...100 miles in 100 days... 



Running, biking, or walking- a mile is a mile. I'm not committing to a certain amount of miles a day, that way I can be flexible and however many miles I run I will just deduct from the total 100 miles. 

This gives me until July 22nd, 2012 to reach my goal of 100 miles.
(Putting my graduate education to work and practicing what I preach about goal setting)

I will be starting tomorrow morning with a 5k in memory of Chuck Pacholkiw. 

This race is in honor of a close friend of my best friend, Sam, who passed away. Another life taken too early.  All proceeds go to a scholarship fund for a student to accomplish the goal that Chuck was so close to achieving before he passed away. I am honored to be part of this day remembering Chuck.




I will be running/walking races all summer long up until the half marathon in October. 


I have joined the Shirlington Running Club (SRC) and will be running a 5k every Tuesday night in Arlington.
