My
name is Anna and I am 27 years old. For the first time, in a long time,
I am very happy with my physical appearance. I have many, many people
to thank for my weight loss progress this year but I also have to give
myself credit. For those of you who know me, you know I
am not a blogging type and I am starting this blog because many people
have been asking how I lost the weight and as much as I love telling my
story, it seems MUCH easier to put in down in one place.
...for
those of you who stumbled across this blog, I hope in some way, shape,
or form, you can learn something from me and my story. So, here goes me,
Anna, being 100% completely honest with you...
The official start of my weightloss journey was December 25th, 2010. I had struggled with my weight for WAYYYYY too long. I had hit absolute rock bottom. It's still a constant struggle but this blog is a way constant reminder of where I started from and why I'm doing this.
...then... |
My ultimate goal is 50 lbs!
...I've created this blog to keep track of my journey, share my story, and to have a way of holding myself accountable...
I lost 35 lbs in 2011 and another 7 lbs in 2012. I maintained 42 lbs of weightloss throughout 2012 but am ready to kick it into high gear in 2013. I am currently 8lbs away from my goal. The last couple of lbs are THE ABSOLUTE TOUGHEST. When I had 40 lbs to lose, the piece of bread I ate or the glass of wine I drank didn't make a huge difference; however, now that I'm in the home stretch, every single calorie counts.
I made the mistake of relaxing when I hit my 40 lb mark. I was so happy and proud of myself that I started adding everything back in that I had taken out but in moderation of course. I was acting like I was in the maintenance stage instead of losing the last couple lbs stage.
I have survived a Master's progran and am now in a Doctoral Program (YAYYY!!!) but not without the stress that came along with it. I have maintained the same weight for the past year but now I am ready to kick it into high gear and get these last 8 lbs off so I can FINALLLYYYYY be at my goal weight of 150lbs.
Xoxo,
Anna
